Thanatos - The Ultimate Legion, is one of the Legions of Chaos. Thanatos is the first legion owned by Sieg Wahrheit. In its Adult and Perfect Forms, Thanatos is the largest legion in terms of size.
. SIEG WARHEIT: The knight of the Dark Glyphs, he was ordered to pursue Victor Delacroix. He was a close friend of Delacroix and Siela.
After her death, Delacroix thought that Sieg was the murderer, and condemned him. Sieg has been given the command of the Ultimate Crest: the Thanatos Legion. Sieg has two modes of combat. ASSAULT Mode: Sieg fights alone in this mode using his trusty sword. Attack power is enhanced and running is possible in this mode. Sieg can also use his current Legion's Assist Ability. However, Sieg is quite vulnerable to damage in this mode.
FORCE Mode: Sieg fights alongside with his Legionnaires in this mode. Attack power is halved and running is impossible in this mode.
However, Sieg's Legions offer extra protection as well as awesome fight power and will fight for him to the death. ARCIA RINSLET: The sole survivor of the Maidens of the Silver. She met Sieg while on duty to find Delacroix. She was also in search of Delacroix for personal matters.
She cannot summon Legions, but with her dual guns and Sniper Mode, she alone is a force to be reckoned with. With Arcia around, let her bullets fly and the bodies fall. Like Sieg, Arcia has two unique modes of combat. ASSAULT Mode: Arcia fights alone in this mode using her martial arts skills.
Attack power is enhanced and running is possible in this mode. Arcia can perform an Orbit Fire Special in this mode. SNIPER Mode: Arcia bends back, her visibility and gunfire accuracy extremely enhanced. A directable crosshair appears to gain clear shots on desired targets. However, her attack power diminishes.
Running and Orbit Fire are not usable in this mode as well. VICTOR DELACROIX: A once pious cleric-swordsman acquainted with Sieg and is the boyfriend of Siela. He went on a quest for world purification after the alleged murder of Siela with Sieg as her killer. In reality, he was manipulated by Azrail. The English translation of his French name is ' Victory of the Cross'. In the PC version, he is always called as Delacroix, even by his former best friend Sieg.
SIELA RIVIERE: Not much is known about this enigmatic girlfriend of Delacroix. She was killed when Sieg and Delacroix were on duty to banish the demon Azrail once again. She sacrificed her life for Sieg when she felt that Azrail was freed once again, and asked Sieg to take care of Delacroix in her place.
AZRAIL: The spirit of chaos. Its name was not revealed until the final stage, but it was behind the real murder of Siela under the hands of Delacroix, and then manipulated him until the very end, although Delacroix didn't really show any expression of being a puppet.
R1: Lock-on/StrafeThe first scene is quite straightforward. Simply intended for you to get used to the controls. You can kill the majority of the Zeodagda with melee attacks. Once you kill the first wave, a Target will appear. Kick, punch or otherwise shoot it until it goes away. It'll cough up a Recovery Herb, which is Arcia's healing item. Make sure you grab the Life Recovery behind the tree near the gate, then move forward.Scene Two More of the same awaits in the path beyond.
Kill all of the collected Guidodagda in the path beyond, and be sure to grab the Life Recovery from the grassy ledge. Then move through the next gate.Scene Three In the following area, scale the ledges on either side of the area, and knock down the Zomdagda, all the while avoid their blasts and the plucky persistence of the Galarge. There is a Life Recovery on the high platform to the left, and a Target on the high platform to the right. You'll want to stay in melee mode for this one, as the mobility is required to dodge everything that's coming at you.
Once you drop the Target on the upper ledge (and grab the Bullet Case L), head down to the gate area and slay the Target to get another Recovery Herb.Scene Four Cross the log bridge and kill the Guidodagda to grab an Attack Up and a Defense Up. At the end of the bridge is a Garia. Walk forward quickly and tease it to swing at you, then drop back and attack when its shield is down.
Repeat until the big lug goes down, then grab the Bullet Case S that he drops.Scene Five Use kicks to light up the various 'Dagda minions in the next canyon. Be sure to grab the Energy Bullets from a ledge to the left, and another on a higher ledge further down the path. There is a Garia midway down the path, but avoid him and continue to the Target. Take the Jenon out with an Energy Bullet attack and collect the Recovery Herb it barfs up. Scene Six The next passage is host to several Targets on ledges to the left and right.
Use the gun's lock-on and strafe back and forth to eliminate the Balor at ground level. Your fire will naturally reach up to the ledges as you do this. Once the first two Targets fall, grab the Recovery items and keep moving down the alley. Destroy the third Target to end the scene.Scene Seven Hop up to the ledge (use a double-jump) where the final Target was and proceed down the path, using the Life Recovery items as a bread crumb trail to get up top. You'll have to dodge or kill some Dagdas en route, but that's nothing. At the top is an Energy Bullet, and a Target. Kill the Dagda on the ledge across from it, then get to work on the Jenon.
Drop it, collect the goodies and move to more forest carnage.Scene Eight Use your righteous guns to take down the fluttering Galarge here, and collect the proliferation of Items. When the last bird drops, move through the gate.Scene Nine The next bit is all about kicking Guidodagda heiny. Once you kill a bunch, move to the right ledge and grab some goodies, then follow the path around so that you're facing the opposite cliff. Grab more gear from this high ledge, wary of Balor underfoot. Then repeat the process, except this time, jump across to the path that leads to the gate. Kill the Garia Target (use the tease and shoot method), then step through the gate beyond.Scene Ten This area is more Galarge.
Equip the guns and blaze away. Grab whatever the dirty birds drop and continue.Boss: Maponos You fought this chucklehead as Sieg, and the fight was much harder there. Here, it's the simplest boss battle in the game.
Stay in the middle of the ledge and use your blasters to aim at the large plant. There are a few Grannue and Jenonholar on the platform with you, but they are easily avoided. The only things you really need to watch out for in this fight are the Dagdas that charge up the hill midway into the brawl and the floating mines. Otherwise, just rage away and use Energy Bullets whenever the 'plant collar' is raised to score major damage. The faster you press the shoot button, the better. You'll earn a Map Selector for your troubles, as well as a nice cut scene.
